Frequently asked

Does the Low THC Oil Registry let me buy marijuana flower?+
No. Georgia's program covers low-THC oil (20% or less THC by weight) purchased from licensed in-state dispensaries. It does not authorize smokable flower, home cultivation, or out-of-state purchases.
What if my condition isn't on the list?+
Georgia law limits certification to the conditions listed by statute. During your visit, the physician will confirm whether your diagnosis and its documented severity meet the criteria.
How long does approval take?+
Most patients complete their evaluation in one visit. Once your physician submits your certification, the Department of Public Health typically issues the card within a few weeks.
What's the difference between evaluation and recertification?+
New patients complete a full $199 evaluation. Existing registry patients renewing an active card use the shorter $149 recertification visit instead.
Is my visit confidential?+
Your evaluation is a standard medical visit subject to the same confidentiality protections as any other appointment with a licensed physician.
